Last weekend I got a chance to get out with the new Bighorn Tl3. It is chambered in 6XC, a cartridge designed by David Tubb, and will be used for my start in PRS. It has a 26″ Proof Research stainless barrel with a 1/8 twist and MTU contour. The stock is a Manners T4A Elite mini-chassis and is topped with a Steiner T5Xi 5-25×56 MIL/MIL with SCR reticle. The muzzle brake I installed a Patriot Valley Arms braked they have named the “Mad Scientist”.

We traveled to a private location nearby with several hundred acres of shooting area and targets ranging from 100 yards to 1,090 yards. The drive out was extremely foggy and limited out visibility for several hours.

We set up our equipment and waited for the fog to lift. We placed a target 100 yards out to check velocity and confirm zero. Shooting several dot drills and 3 shot groupings we had sufficient weather and bullet data.
